Pump cylinders.    See diagram 4.

Each pump will have either 4 or 6 cylinders to address varying sea states, with a common attachment (drive) shaft hinged at the support pipe.  A narrow cylinder bore, (circa 3 cm) permits pressure output to head 12m.  Cylinders output on both up and down strokes.
